Where Did the Summer Go?
We've had a busier than usual summer this year, and - as always - it seemed to go by far too quickly. But, no matter. We have a lot of interesting work lined up for fall, and we've completed a lot of enjoyable projects recently. Here is some of what has been happening at your favorite media production resource.

Welcome, Mike Story!

We are delighted to welcome Mike Story to the ImageStream team as our new Director of Photography. Mike has an unusually creative eye, and we know you will be pleased with the "look" he will give your programs.
Mike is a Grand Valley State University graduate in communications, with a film/ video emphasis. He operated a successful independent video production company, and was most recently with Portage Cable Access.
In his first whirlwind month at ImageStream, Mike found himself shooting in Hamburg, Germany, working on a video project in Africa, and sailing to Amsterdam while shooting a beautiful cruise ship.
Mike, his wife Lara, and their two beautiful little girls reside in Portage.

Social Networking
ImageStream has helped companies reach out to important audiences using Facebook and other social networking media for several years. We can do the same for you.
So how do you reach the best and brightest potential summer interns? Via the web, of course.
ImageStream interviewed a dozen fresh faces from this summer's crop, edited them together very stylishly, and compressed them into great-looking web video clips that should be very appealing to the college crowd.
The site goes live any day. You can see a clip now.

Efficient Training

How often are you or your colleagues pulled out of work and dropped into a training session? How much work time is lost, especially if travel is involved? Is it always necessary? Probably not.
ImageStream has produced a number of efficient on-line tutorials, created using professionally-narrated screen captures. If you're rolling out a new software program to employees, for example, a simple tutorial may be all you need. Updates to a health care plan can be communicated just as effectively.
We can produce them quickly and inexpensively. Here's an example.

Beautiful Instruments
If you think of a beautiful instrument, a Gibson guitar might come to mind. And music from a Gibson can certainly improve your life.
But Stryker Instruments asked us to create a series of beauty shots of their medical devices for trade show displays. These instruments not only improve lives, they can save lives.
We used precise lighting, special cameras and lenses, and a film approach to give these beautiful instruments the star treatment they deserve.
Take a look.

Speaking of beautiful...
We can't bring ourselves to send out a newsletter without featuring one of our favorite clients.
Celebrity Cruises, a division of Royal Caribbean, launched the first in a new class of ships two years ago. ImageStream was there to document the first sailings of Celebrity Solstice. Two additional Solstice-class ships have since been launched, and two more are in the works.
The interior design and amenities of Solstice were breathtaking, and were so well-received by passengers that Celebrity decided to "Solsticize" other ships in the fleet. Earlier this year, ImageStream was on-board Celebrity Constellation in dry dock in Hamburg to capture the still-beautiful 'before' and the stunning 'after' images.
See what Celebrity has created.
